FRESHERS PARTY

Fresher’s party was organised in EJM College Leh on 27-04-2018The senior students welcome juniors (fresher) to the college. A welcome speech was presented by Pushpa Buddah- a student of B Sc 2nd sem. A colourful cultural programme and exciting games were organised for the juniors. Prof. Sonam Yangzes I/C Principal of the college welcome the newly admitted students to the college. .On the occasion Mr. Stanzin Norzang and Ms Bano were given the title of Mr and Ms Fresher 2018 respectively. At the end Mr Konchok Namdol President student council EJM College presented the vote of thanks.

ROAD SAFETY WEEK

A road safety week was organised by District police Leh in collaboration with M/S Mountaineering bike. As a part of the celebration a cycle rally was organised in which five of the college students participated. The rally started from main market Leh at 8:30am and culminated at Police line Choglamsar at 11:00am. The students were accompanied by Dr. Sonam Wangmo and Asst. Prof. Thinless Chondol .

PMSSS WORKSHOP-II

PMSSS Workshop-II was held in EJM College on 03-05-18 to counsel the students of Ladakh region about this prestigious scholarship scheme . On the occasion Prof. Deskyong Namgyal, Principal EJMC formally welcome the dignitaries and spoke about PMSSS, which has done a lot for the students of Ladakh region. Prof. Ajit Angral, Nodal Officer PMSSS J&K introduced the guests and thanked them for working so hard for the welfare of the students. He also briefed the students about the eligibility criteria to apply for PMSSS. Madam Madhuri gave a power point presentation on “Foundation For Holistic Development” and spoke about how a student must achieve overall development by participating in various activities along with their studies. Prof. Goyal then spoke to everyone about CMAI which is an ICT largest, apex business and trade promotion organisation. Finally Prof. Phunstog Angmo presented the Vote of Thanks.

PASSPORT CAMP

Ministry of external affairs organised a “Student connect Awareness Programme “in Eliezer Joldan Memorial College on 02-05-2018. In which the college students as well as the faculty participated. The officers in detail spoke about the programme and its benefit.

MEGA CLEANLINESS DRIVE IN THE COLLEGE CAMPUS

Hostel committee along with the NSS committee of the college conducted a cleanliness drive followed by painting in proposed hostel for girls on Sunday 06-05-18.In order to make hostel functional at the earliest NSS students and other students were mobilised by hostel committee for required service. Overall cleaning of until now dysfunctional hostel, was conducted and rooms, mess and the kitchen were painted to make it functional. In total 12 faculty members including principal of the college Prof. Deskyong Namgyal and 50 volunteer students were present.

A TRAINING CUM AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON “CULTIVATION, PROCESSING AND MARKETING OF AROMATIC PLANTS

Training cum awareness programme on “cultivation, processing and marketing of aromatic plants “was held under CSIR-AROMA MISSION” in the Sheynam hall Skara Leh on 09-05-18. The students of B.Sc 1st sem. accompanied by Asst. Prof. Rinchen Angmo got the opportunity to be part of this informative programme organised by CSIR-IIIM, Jammu. The training focussed and emphasized on aromatic flora found in Ladakh region and its economic importance by producing value added products.

INAUGRATION OF COLLEGE WORKSHOP 2018-19

The inaugural function of the college workshop 2018-19 was held on 07-04-2018 in the MP Hall of the college. Shri Tashi Namgyal Commandant ITBP felicitated the experts with the khataks. Prof. Tashi Ldawa and Prof. Tsetan Dolker shared their thought on the occasion. Prof. Deskyong Namgyal, Principal EJMC also spoke on the occasion.
The President student council of the college thanked the Principal and the staff of the college for organising such workshops .The dance experts along with her troops performed on the occasion.
The chief guest spoke about the importance of co-curricular activities in the life of a student. He encouraged the students to take maximum advantage from such workshops.
At the end of the programme Principal, Prof. Deskyong Namgyal presented the vote of thanks.
